504 Plan

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is a civil law banning disability discrimination. It allows students with disabilities the right to reasonable accommodations. The 504 team consists of parents, teachers and school administrators. The 504 team work together to identify barriers and create accommodations to reduce these barriers and provide a safe and successful learning environment for that student.
